Chores & Kitchen Etiquette

Divide chores by time zone, not by nagging: whoever cooks doesn’t clean the shared pots that day; dishes don’t sleep overnight. Write the rota on the fridge.

Quiet Hours & Weekend Guests

Standard quiet hours of 10pm–7am keep the place livable for everyone. Guests are welcome, but overnight stays beyond three nights trigger a contribution to utilities.

Money & Notice Clauses

A minimal agreement needs at least these three clauses:

  • Rent and utilities are due by a fixed date every month, both payable on demand.
  • A 60-day written notice is required before moving out.
  • Any guest staying beyond seven nights requires joint agreement.
